[Amps] al 80B Need good tuning procedure.

Switch amplifier meter to power output.  Send a carrier of about 20  watts 
from exciter to the amp.  Tune for maximum output with both load and  tune.  
Send another 20 watts from exciter to amp, peak load and tune for  maximum 
output.  Send another 20 watts and tune for maximum.  Do this  until the rated plate 
current is reached or the stated output is reached.   It is pretty simple.  
You could at the end advance the load until power  just drops off, that will 
ensure good IMD.  73  Lou
