Take a look at this web page - Cardwell now makes the old EF Johnson line:

Lists only the standard parts and the 229-203-3 you refer to must have been a variation of the 229-203-1 to add a bit more inductance so the -3 is perhaps a bit longer. Interesting as I never knew they had specials outside of the 10, 18 and 28 uH lines.  They all seemed to share the same front and end plates and the length was the only variable. Hope this is of some help.
