I like carl did the same thing I picked up a LK500ZA with blown tubes and one wafer contact blown that I fixed for 75.00
Makes a good 160M amp which is where I use mine.

The ones I often pick up for chump change is the real ham amps that have 
been turned into CB monobanders. As long as the basics are there and not 
butchered, its a simple conversion to 6M which is where I make my money.
