[Amps] transformer in series.........

HI
  i hav a problem related to transformer
  i have two identical transformer with variable output 0-130 volts and current of 10 amp. the input of the transformer is 110 volts. problem is that i hav an input source of 220 volts. is this possible, if i connect them in series so that the input voltage is equally divided (110-110 volts) into the two tranformers and i get desired 10 amp, is this the safe approach......?
