Well, it's bound to!
Carborundum is the name of the material also! It is a crystalline  substance
and most of these exhibit some non linearities. No wonder it's an harmonic
generator.

Not exactly on-topic but if you are doing output harmonic measurements
remember that Carborundums generate a little bit of harmonic content
themselves.
They are a teeny bit nonlinear.
