You really should look at some books to get an idea of
what is going on with the PI net and its bigger brother
the PI-EL net. Books are great!
Once you have at least a general idea of how to proceed
then I suggest you go to this web page:
http://tonnesoftware.com/piel.html
and download, install and run "PIEL", the program that
will do the arithmetic for you.
It designs PI nets and PI-EL nets. That in itself is not
all that unusual (lots and lots of books and websites can
do that). What it *also* does is add on an analysis of
what you get when you use those parts. And it tells
you the amps through each part and the volts across
each part and it tells you how much attenuation the
network will give you at the 2nd, 3rd and 4th
harmonics.
And the price is right! It is also on the ARRL CD
which accompanies the ARRL Handbook.
