No, the 4-1000 is wired with both grids grounded for GG operation. The
degradation in the amplification factor is so slight as to be negligible.
Don't forget that in the GG configuration the grid itself acts as a screen
between the input and the output, so that the screen grid just adding its
own isolation.

What do you do with the Screen Grid ?

 

Don't you need an additional screen supply ?
