[Amps] DENTRON CLIPPERTON 2 Meter Amp Comments ?

I had one- it ran way to hot, melted the solder on the tank circuit. I 
think the later models were strip line but the early design with the 
coil did not seem to work very well.
It barely did 300 watts output- might as well go solid state with what 
is available today. I love tubes but at that power level stick with 
transistors.
