 Has anyone modified one of these amps' power supplies so that it is possible to 
just switch cavities 
 when moving to another band.....for instance to QSY from 144 mhz to 432, etc.?

Tom, I don't switch cavities, but I replaced the Stand-by toggle switch with a 'Center-off' toggle to switch between two bias voltages. A separate board behind the front panel containes the zeners and resistors.
