Having owned two of the three amps you mention, I vote for the AMP Supply.
Though not "top of the line" the AMP Supply and Heath SB-220 are similar,
use relatively inexpensive 3-500 finals, virtual instant on, rugged. I
now have 2 LK-500s here one a B and one a C. They are straight forward
basic amplifiers. The AMP Supply covers 160 meters, that the SB-220 does
not.
Has a Peter Dahl transformer, and takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
Perhaps someone might comment on the Dentron, which I believe uses
572s.
They ain't fancy, mine don't quite make 1500 watts (actually 1350-1450) but
being basically retired guy (low budget) work fine for me.
