"slowly rereading QST in the "loo"" ... I'd give the prunes and high fibre diet a miss if I were you....

Ive never been able to appreciate CD versions and QST in particular is mighty poor from what Ive read. I dont enjoy reading at the PC either.

I have QST from 1926 to date, all HRM, all 73, and CQ thru around 1995.

Im slowly rereading QST in the "loo" and have made it to 1956 so far. I just started on CQ at breakfast, after going thru 16 years of ER, and got to 1947 today. Still need 1991 and back for ER.

Trying to find full year binders has been the problem here and I dont want to wind up storing them all in the attic again.

I don't think that 73 magazine was ever scanned and distributed on CD - though I could be wrong. If it was available, I'd certainly buy a copy. Like you I've found the copies of Ham Radio extremely useful - ditto QST and RadCom. I've very occasionally seen old copies of 73 magazine at fleamarkets and the earlier years look to have some excellent technical material in them.

If there was anything like a market for a 73 mag CD ROM then I'd have expected W2NSD to spot that and to have published CDs already

cheers

Thanks for the link. The site is all but useless to anyone. The tiny thumbnails are too small to read. "Unfortunately, due to various royalty and copyright issues that existed between contributing authors and 73 Magazine, it doesn't look likely that we will ever be able to actually show the full-size images." I wish someone could scan them and distribute them "under the table". I have a copy of the "Ham Radio" CD and I find the info on it at times to be priceless.

Don't buy the wrong thing...

"Ham Radio Magazine" was a real title published from 1968 until 1990.
ARRL sells that CD.

Chase "73" here... http://hamcall.net/73

Hi Dick,

I'm not positive, but I think CQ magazine sells them under the name
"Ham Radio Magazine" and you can get them on CD rom from their web site.
