It sounds like the basics are well thought out, but the tube is 
unfortunate. Often we settle for what's available.

I'd rather use a pair of 3CPX-1500A7's <:-)), but from the practical 
approach I think a pair of derated 4CX-1500s, or FU728's push pull would 
work just fine. Even a pair of 3CPX-800's would do the job.

I see Alpha Power has some 4CX1600B's for sale at a fairly reasonable 
price.  Too bad they are orphans. I think that was a great tube.
