Subject: [Amps] No parasitic choke question

There seems to be three camps in this discussion..
Nychrome, no nychrome, and now neither.

Eliminate the parasitic; eliminate the suppressor.

\If eliminating the suppressor can :
( 1 ) produce less heating above 20Mhz
( 2 ) protect the tube and associated components

I believe a lot of us would like to know your better way.

Thanks

## Nichrome is beyond useless. It will diss as much as 100 w on 10m in
some cases. It will get really good and HOT on 10m. You can light a cigar with it.

## perhaps paralleling a bunch of these 3-5 watt MOX resistor's
would be the real ticket. Then the total uh would drop down by
1/2 or 1/3 or 1/4 if 2-3-4 x MOX's were used. Then no comp cap would
be required.

## Plan B.... use a metal tube like a GS35B, YC-156 etc... and no
suppressor required. ... and no socket required either.
