[Amps] backwards plate transformer

This probably does not have a ground on the primary side (now the secondary). You may need to establish your own ground at the junction of the windings.

I picked up a used 5 KVA GE transformer.   2400V primary, 120/240V 
secondary.    With 208 on the secondary (I am running it backwards)  I 
am measuring  2500 unloaded on the primary.  

Anyone using a backwards transformer for plate & are there other issues 
I should be on the lookout for?
