[Amps] Revamping a really ugly amp

Yeah, that's the problem I have. My amp has a pi-l circuit so two rollercoasters and two vacuum variable capacitors, all four with Russian turns counters.  It works, it's clean but frequent band changes result in a bad case of repetitive strain injury...

A variable inductor makes band changes too slow in contests (unless I make 6
amps!)
