[Amps] Drake L-7 problem

This AM I was tuning up on 75m and there was a loud bang followed by the
odor of burning circuit board. I found that the 47 pf PCB cap across part of
the plate RF choke had burned through. This cap appears to be used only on
the Drake amps that cover 160m but no explanation of it's purpose! Anyone
know?
