The industry of ham radio gear placed such a weird perfectionism
in our brain that we find a home brewed linear amp which has not
all knobs symmetrical arranged and in one line is UGLY!
What's really ugly is our brain. " Beauty is in the eye of the
beholder", isn't THAT true? >

   Not completely true, most human brains prefer symmetry* and prettiness, those without a
desire for clean and clear need not apply.

   I have a Kenwood TS700A, a pretty 2 meter transceiver that is better to look at than to
operate.  (no tone option, 17 watts out, P.A. tune control {transistor output)}

* symmetry: an imprecise sense of harmonious or aesthetically pleasing proportionality and
balance such that it reflects beauty or perfection.
