[Amps] TX site RFI and automobiles

At the scenic overlook on Sandia Crest, over Albuquerque, there is a warning sign about the RFI levels affecting car alarms. In 2008, I 
drove my Jetta there with friends, and the keyfob was unable to unlock the car due to the RF levels, manual key worked of course. 
About 200 feet from the parking lot are short towers with radiators for analog ch 2, 4, 5, 7 and 13, plus UHF stations. Now there are only 7 and 13 on VHF at lower TX power
while the rest moved to UHF allocations. I haven't been back to see if my key works, but since key fob is on 433 MHz or so, I imagine it will get 'blanketing' interference still. 

BTW, there is a LOT of speculation floating around about Toyota engine computer and RFI, and that's all it is .... speculation, until proven on a test range. I wouldn't put any money
on that being the problem however. My 2003 Tacoma is drive by wire, too, a steel wire that goes from the pedal to the throttle body.....
