[Amps] PS ideas for solid state amps

 To the group..........

 When considering power supplies for Moderate power HF Amp's (+- 300-400W output), in class AB, requiring about 28V @ 30A, what are most guys using? 

 I would assume a switching supply to be the preferred design - yes/no, especially considering shipping costs ? 


 1) Homebrew - if so, are there any complete and working switching supply designs on the internet?

 2) Surplus - any companies which sell these switching supply animals?

 3) Without breaking the bank, any new switching supplies to recommend



 Any other ideas .....like " In the long run it would be less expensive to just buy a commercial amp/ps and be done with it."
