[Amps] How to restore oxidized tank switch

I have cleaned switches like that by using a slurry of Soft Scrub applied 
with a small natural bristle chip brush
Let it set a few minutes and wash with water
Dry with a hair dryer or bake at low temperature under a heat lamp
Good to go and looks like new
