   He needs a low level 6 meter AM modulated carrier, high level modulator
doesn't have a VFO and would be harder to bash together than a low level
"exciter."  Any such linear amplifier must be operated class "A" or two
tubes in push-pull class "B."  With 1/3 the SSB power out.
   I just don't know why he wants to operate AM.  (and I don't care)
