One other thing. All X-ray machines in the USA must be licensed now.
When I got this one I had to provide a statement that it was decommissioned and
not useable. Which was easy becasue they cut the HV leads when they removed it 
from the hospital and some parts were missing since I decided not to take all of it 
from the surplus auction.  Another fellow had talked me into buying it becasue he
had a "Buyer" and we could make a profit. We went into it 50/50 only to find out
the buyer only wanted mobile ones. This was the complete X-ray room set up.
  Anyway, after I found this out I decided not to take and store all of it. And 
later I reminded him of our 50/50 deal and that he had to pay me the winning bid 
amount. He paid his share, $0.50. No one else was interested in it. I should have had 
him share the storage fees.

I have a transformer with rectifiers. Weighs several hundred pounds and is in a tub with oil.
It had an external "inverter" power supply driver. Got rid of the rest of it but have no idea what I will
be doing with this one too. Also have the tube and "head" for it.  I think they have to use loads of power
becasue the collimator and filters absorbe most of the x-rays.
   Anyone interested?

There's an ebay auction for a 100 kV transformer from an x-ray set.

I mentioned to the seller he should warn people of possible production of
x-rays. He does not think this possible and I must admit I'm not sure if its
possible without a vacuum. But I've also suggested that it could produce UV and
ozone.

It's clearly being sold as a fun experiment:

"Dangerous but great fun and ideal for lots of interesting experiments."

But at 100 kV, I'm wondering what dangers there are apart from the obvious one
of electrocution.

Somehow I would not want to be playing around too much with 100 kV and drawing
big arcs, but perhaps I'm over reacting.

I've suggested he ads a note that there may be other dangers other than
electrocution.
