How about putting the "suspect" meter movement in series with another movement of the same current sensitivity and seeing if they track when the applied voltage (current) is adjusted ? - Jim W4ENE > I suspect the movement is faulty, or a diode or other > non-linear device is fitted in there to protect meter > in some way.
