A: Top posting to a group shows RESPECT to the readers.
Q: Why is bottom posting such a bad thing?

A: Bottom posting to a group displays disrespect.  It demands the reader to
scroll through history to search for the next comment.  It wastes the
reader's time.
Q: Why is bottom posting not the protocol of choice?
