The end of the shaft sizes are 1/4" and 3/8" . The cap itself has 1/4-28
threads (1/4" 28 threads per inch). Most of the "nose cones" are the same
size.

Sometimes the 3/8" shaft end is just an adapter installed onto/over the top
the 1/4" end shaft.

#### I have several of the jenning's vac caps... and some are 1/4"- 3/8"- and also 1/2" shafts.
[ this is the end portion that have to mate to]. Since my shafts through the front panel turns counter's
are all 1/4" SS.... and adaptor has to be used.... like 1/4- 1/4 or 3/8- 1/4 or 1/2- 1/4.
I was given a few really nice adaptors... and have never seen em since. These were like a small bellows affair
in the middle of the adaptor..... sorta accordian type....and were cylindrical in shape. The ones given to me took
a 1/2" shaft [with set screws] on one end... and took a 1/4' shaft [ with set screws] on the other end. These
adaptor's were the best yet..since they would easily allow for a small amount of shaft misalignment. If anybody
knows a source for these bellows types, let me know, as I could use at least 2 more of them.

## I also have a few of the solid brass adaptors, in 3/8-1/4 variety..and also 1/2- 1/4. Those will work as well..
BUT, will not tolerate any shaft misalignment at all. Some of the 5-20 kv shaft isolators [ 3/8-1/4 and 1/4-1/4]
will allow for a tiny bit of shaft misalignment..and also electrically isolate the 2 x shafts.

## In the odd place where an electrical shaft isolator is required, but the standard shaft isolator won't fit,due to space
constraints, then a solid 1/4" diam fiberglass rod can be used instead.

Later... Jim VE7RF

Hope this helps.
