Uh, because there's no getter in them?

Nothing in them outgasses?

vac caps can leak and then...you have to pay Mr. Jennings more money.
Why would he want to do anything about that (if he could)?


I used to worry about my 3-500zgs going orange, then one day I was at
a friend's shack and he fired up his 1 KW broadcast rig and I watched
the anodes in the four 5-500s turn orange and quit worrying.
