[Amps] HIGHWAY LOUIE

I lived in AZ and had a mobile SS Henry amp that put out well over a K at 40
meters. Had corona issues and lots of antenna fires with the super resonator
hustler. To his credit and Hustlers, N7DD's shop replaced them every time as
warranty because they said "legal limit". Everything would be fine and one
drop of water hit the resonator and it went up in flames. Usually lots of
honking and pointing fingers told me I had a fire. N9FUT

He had a problem with corona eating the top of his mobile whip (perhaps
because of the power, hihi) so he brazed a brass toilet tank ball on the
top.
It was quite a sight to it going down the highway.
