[Amps] Transformer guess?

Hi Vic,
  If you can measure the cross section of the laminations (center post or sum of the side posts) there are old charts (i.e. 1976 ARRL Handbook, Transformer Rewinding, p.109) that show the power capability of old transformers.

  A data point: 1-1/4 square inches is good for 50 watts as I read it.
