It is my understanding that Ten Tec amps are Pi-L only
on the lower bands, which changes the network design, and may impact
what values of C are needed back in the tank.
### NO, according to the schematic the Centurian is a PI network only.
Based on the value of the load variable cap I should think that no additional
padding is needed on 40 meters. The load variable is 800pf and I suspect
that no padding is needed and as the schematic shows there is 330pf added
in on 40M. I'll bet that the load cap would have to be pretty much more
than half open on 40M. I would imagine it still works but it seems to make
more sense to have the 430pf moved over to the open terminal on 160 and then
the 330pf moved over to the 80M spot and have the 40M spot with no padding,
leaving the variable to do the job by itself. None of the other dual 3-500
amps in its class use padding on 40M and they have 850pf load caps.
