Hi Charles,

I STILL maintain that the BEST lettering that I've ever used here for my creations---and which I continue to use, still----is 1/4" tall vinyl "peel-and-stick" letters that one can buy from any good stationary shop...

These things come in a wide variety of colours & fonts, but 1/4" seems to be the smallest size available They look great, last virtually forever, and are even weather-proof. 

You apply them with the tip of something like an X-acto knife, position them properly, then press down with your thumb. Later, if you have need to change your labelling / lettering for any reason, they come off with a bit of pressure from your thumb nail...

An outfit called "Geographics" in Blaine, Washington, was first to sell these, but competition has increased---and prices lowered.

My $0.02 on the matter, anyway, FWIW...
