Thanks for the replies

There are two codes on the tube, 08594 and 6948.  I've been told that the
second is probably the date code (week 48 in 1969 ?) but I have been unable
to cross reference the first to a manufacturer.

The 3 didgit EIA code on the tube will tell you who actually built it.
