Fibreglass is a very poor isolator, especially when wet.
It turned into flames at the 1KW level already when I used it at a high
impedance point.
1 5/8" cable is rated for 32KW at 30MHz permanent power and a 40°C environment
temperature.
If you need special care there is something else wrong.

The power issue is always happening in the quad´s corners, on driver and
directors, burned!! 
Now is not burnng any more, after use Teflon corners over ceramic insulators
(yes, with +40 Kw fibreglass is not isolating anymore).

Coax cable is Heliax 1 5/8, but needs special care as well. since it is not
rated to that power.
