I (as an airborne radio operator) used to hear (on 11.228 Mcs IIRC)  
'Wolf wolf this is Luger this is Luger Do not answer do not answer' 
and then some encrypted message.  I never knew who Wolf or Luger 
were... I didn't have the need to know.
