Greetings to all,

        I just finished installing Phil Salas", AD5X, QSK conversion in an 
ALS-600.  His instructions are good, parts and wires supplied are high 
quality, and instillation went quickly, even for the first time.   This 
conversion completely solves the hot switching problem that is common with 
all of the ALS-500's and 600"s as they come from the factory.  QSK operation 
is great.

        I had previously installed this same mod in an SB-200.  There is a 
bit more involved in installing it in the SB-200 because the board is 
specially designed for the ALS-500 and 600, but still a quite simple job.

        This mod is the simplest, least expensive, QSK mod that I have 
encountered.  It is quite adequate for long term operation at the 500 to 600 
watt level.  AND, at its price, it is a real bargain.
