They are a cute little amp!

They did not have cutoff bias or a T-R relay internal. The 3-400 just sat 
there are ran red all the time. The input to the tube is quite unique. It 
has a tapped filament choke where the drive RF is fed.

I remember the ads in QST when I was young. They ads made them look much
larger than
they are. OK, I know it is just a half-gallon but it is a neat amplifier.
This is a HT-45 not the later MkII version. Like to see 866's glowing again.
