CE only covered a ham band at a time - a lot less onerous task. They used a neat 
bandpass structure - patented, I believe.  And, as you mentioned, not terribly 
high power (at least not to this group!!).

What you mean ancient ???

How did Central Electronics do it ?

100v, 200V, 600L, not big power, but seemed to play.
