I recall being part of a group analyzing different compression schemes and the resultant picture quality. i.e. Could you see degradation? This was at SMPTE in late 90's as I recall. One thing coming out of that business was the new engineering term "good enough". That was to apply to picture quality. Even then "broadcast quality" took on lesser meaning. ed K0KL
