But yet a choke input filter will show nasty leading spikes on a scope when 
used in a pulsed mode such as CW and SSB. It is especially harsh with SS 
rectifiers and is somewhat muted with 866A/3B28's.
I suspect a little bit more reading on the subject is in order as this wasnt 
taught in the magnetics portion of my EE classes.
