[Amps] SB-1000 upgrade questions

   A friend recently acquired a SB-1000 and wants it "updated" and if
possible add QSK.

   The Harbach suite of updates list the SB-220 but not the SB-1000, but I
assume the 3-500Z class mods apply just the same.  

   Thoughts and suggestions on "good to do's" versus only if needed?

   Has anyone added a QSK5 board to one?  The exciter will be either an
IC-7700 or an OMNI-D.

PS:  This amp has a number of spots where finger acids-oils have turned the
shiny chassis and rear panel finish dark from finger prints and smudges from
handling.  Is there something that can take that off or chemically reverse
the situation??
