I have two 4CX5000A 200 MHz amplifiers. The power supplies have eye bolts for lifting, naturally they are 3 phase.
I am thinking of putting one on 2 meters, naturally at reduced power. They have very thick bars in their hair pin plate
tuning inductors and are very cool. I see that EIMAC rates these tubed up to 220 MHz but naturally, that band has very
little going on. I am also thinking of parting these out. Seems like sockets and filament transformers are going well on e&#$.
Don't know if I have any good tubes however.
They are big and heavy. Oddly enough the power supplies do not have filter capacitors, I think the remaining few percent
of ripple was taken care of by the active power output level control.
I have to do something with these projects or move them out. I also have a Henry 3000D amplifier from a plasma generator with
power supply, no exciter.
Too many projects and too little time.
