Thanks for the reply Colin. Yes the main transformer is a 240V primary so as you said maybe some problems with the extra 34V.My project is a GS35b amp so I will try it on the 3000V HV first which I guess will be about 2800V under load and see how it goes. Im not so worried about gettinh maximum power out as we cant use it over here.
OK on making a second 400V supply and putting it in series with the existing 3000V supply that may be the safest way of doing it.
