[Amps] Alpha 9500 vs. Acom 2000A questions

Remember that the Alphas tuning is not ANTENNA TUNING but tuning its tank circuit.  There is a difference, yes??

Autotune on the ACOM 2000A  does not vary with drive level. Autotune
does not tune for maximum output, but it does tune for a specific
load impedance.

For example autotune for the ACOM allows you to only use 10 to 20W
drive. It then tunes the amplifier for a specific load impedance
based on voltage, current and phase measurements. The ACOM 2000 tunes
for a specific load impedance that would yield a match at 1800W
output at the measured high voltage. Typically the output  is about
14.5dB above the drive level, so at 10W drive during tune is 280W (not 1800W)
