There's a sad demise of homebrewing and RF skills nowadays as more and more
out of the box appliance operators dominate the ham airwaves.

A good respectable IMD 600 Watt PEP HF amp can be built for moderate cost
comparable to buying an AL-811H.  I know which amp I'd rather have :-)

power range.

Where is the solid state amp that matches the AL-811H in $/watt?
