I have a nice 2K-2 which has low-hour tubes and plays very well. I am 
planning on selling it, but the left (multimeter) meter has an open 
coil. An exact replacement is not available. What do you guys think of 
my two alternatives:

 1. Leave it the way it is.
 2. Remove the existing meter and keep it with the amp, then install a
    shallow box over the front panel with mounting for a working meter.
    This would allow complete reversal of the mod without a trace.
