[Amps] TL-922(A) Recent Acquisition

One other thing I noticed this weekend is that V3 is half gone, cut away in
some previous work with the remaining half showing clear signs of a heated
demise.

Is there an updated circuit design here as well, or at least contemporary
components that should be used for its replacement?  I am not sure what
protection this component (

is going to afford.
