Subject: [Amps] New amplifier announced

This might be old news to some, but FlexRadio has announced a legal
limit solid state amplifier which will soon be available, pending FCC
and CE approval. They expect approval by the end of the year.

This is the amp I have been waiting for for years - solid state and
true legal limit 100% duty cycle, 160-6 meters. It uses a pair of
LDMOS transistors which I suspect are the future of amateur
amplifiers.

## it sez... 1.5 kw ICAS for each mode. I assume that does not mean
1.5 kw ccs on fm / rtty ??

## No mention of a built in automatic 1.5 kw ant tuner either.
No mention of price.

## But each LDMOS device is good for 1.5 kw, so its got plenty
of head room. IMD should be real low, since its only running 50%
of max ratings of the devices used.

## It may well be a winner, it will run SO2R...so no 2nd amp required,
since it switches fast enough. Depending on final price tag, it could be a
bargain.esp for folks who run SO2R.... no need for a 2nd amp.
