A few years back we had a 2011 Toyota Prius. When I decided to install a
vhf/uhf rig, I contacted Toyota with concerns about the on-board computer.

What I received was a nice two page letter on where to run the power and
control cabling. Their general instructions was to run the cabling in
the trough to the right of the passenger footwell in the right side of
the car so to keep the rf away from the ob computer/controller.

Also, did some noodling about, found that Chrysler corp had warnings and
"how to's" re HF operation in the back of their owner's manuals.

The local mobile stereo shop that did my install(s) told me they were
aware of where to lace power and coax as they had accomplished many
installs in off road vehicles where the owners wanted more than 3-4 Po
output on from their CB rigs.

Happy to be able to contribute something to this intelligent (IMO) list,

Gary...wa6fgi
