[Amps] Alpha 99

Glenn that is good news for me at least,   I have not tried to contact Alpha
for a couple years.   Last time was a lady that answered calls, and 
would not
even allow my calls to be forwarded to a tec.   All went through her and 
the
standard reply was to send the amp in for repair.
That is not an option from KH6 with shipping rates.  Especially for simple
repairs.
John was a "friend" and he sold me the amp when he was leaving Alpha at 
special
price etc.   I talked with John in later years at MD Anderson in Tx when 
he was
getting treatment for Melanoma,  which my wife was also there for.   Sad to
say they both succomed to the disease shortly after.
You may have well seen this amp if you were there in 1998,  it was the 
first
of the 99 amps,  it had been on a DX trip,  not sure but perhaps to Burma ?
would have to look up the old info.
