[Amps] Decline of homebrewing?

There has been some discussion about homebrew dipoles not being true homebrewing.
However, homebrewing starts some place. If the beginning of it is making and installing a
dipole, that is a legitimate project. Homebrewing begins with a small project, having success or
failure, and learning from that success or failure and building the confidence that you can proceed
on to larger projects.

After many years of stretching, I bet the resonant frequency is lower. ;-)

My 40 meter "Novice" First antenna Dipole, is still in the air. No Fancy
Baluns, just RG-58 coax split at the center with porcelain insulators.
Wire? Stranded 14 Ga house wire.

Been radiating with it since spring of 1976.
