[Amps] Decline of homebrewing?

If he's got this far without winning the Darwin award, then he may make out 
fine.  But I'm also one of the minority in the US that still believes in the 
old fashioned principle that a person should be personally responsible for 
their actions.

Exactly.  I would be frightened if someone showed up on the list and wrote, 
"I've never
built or repaired any electronic circuits before, but I just got my ham 
license and now
I want to homebrew a legal-limit tube amp."
